Luxembourg is a small, landlocked country in western European bordered by Belgium, France, and Germany. The government system is a constitutional monarchy. The chief of state is the Grand Duke and the head of government is the Prime Minister. Benefitting
from its proximity to France, Belgium, and Germany, Luxembourg has a mixed economy in which the economy includes high levels of openness and entrepreneurial activity, combined with centralized economic planning and government regulation. Luxembourg is a member
of the European Union (EU).
Luxembourg is about half the size of Delaware. The Ardennes Mountains extend from Belgium into the northern section of Luxembourg. The rolling plateau of the fertile Bon Pays is in the south.
Throughout the year a number of festivals are celebrated in Luxembourg, that reflect the Luxembourg culture. The two major festivals celebrated in the place are the Dancing Procession of Echternach and the Christmas celebration. There are also a large number
of museums in Luxembourg that are the carriers of Luxembourg culture and society. Some of them are the National Museum of Art and History, National Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art Grand-Duc Jean, etc.
Luxembourg government and politics is based on a constitutional monarchical form of government. The government of Luxembourg has got 3 branches. They are the executive, legislative and the judiciary. The constitution was adopted on 17th October, 1868.
