Press Release on the Foreign Office Consultations with Rwanda

The first ever Foreign Office Consultations between India and Rwanda were held on 03 May 2018 in Kigali.

The Indian side was led by Dr. Neena Malhotra, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and the Rwandan side was led by Ms. Rugema Faith, Director General of Bilateral Affairs, MoFA, Rwanda.

The first ever Foreign Office Consultations between India and Rwanda provided an opportunity to peruse the entire range of bilateral relations, including political, trade, investments, defence, agriculture, Lines of Credit, human resource development and capacity building initiatives.India reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with Rwanda in these areas. The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest at regional and multilateral levels, including cooperation at UN and other International Organizations.
