UTILISATION OF MADAD PORTAL BY STUDENTS
1617. SHRI VIVEK GUPTA:
Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether a large number of Indian students abroad have failed to utilise the registration module under the Madad portal since its launch;
(b) if so, the details of number of students registered on the portal and also the percentage of them who haven’t registered, country-wise;
(c) whether Government has conducted awareness campaigns in foreign countries regarding the same; and
(d) if so, the details of amounts spent on conducting these programmes during the last year?

(a) & (b) Students Module of the MADAD portal was launched on 15 July, 2016 and since then 9393 students have registered on the Students Module on the MADAD Portal. Details are
The number of students registering on the portal is increasing every day.
(c) & (d) Ministry through its Missions/Posts abroad have been regularly interacting with Indian students studying abroad to register their details on the Students Module voluntarily and also encouraging the Indian students organizations and Indian community
associations for the same through social media platforms.
