LABOUR MOBILITY AGREEMENT

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state :-
(a) the number of Indians workers, State-wise, who have travelled to Israel under the G2G labour mobility agreement between Government of India and the State of Israel till date;
(b) whether the Government has taken note of the criminal cases registered against certain Indian citizens in Israel who have travelled under the G2G agreement;
(c) if so, the details thereof along with the nature of police cases registered and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) whether the Government is aware of the number of Indians being duped and sent to Russia to work in the Russian military and its allied units, if so, the details thereof?

(a) Under the Agreement on Facilitation of the Temporary Employment of Indian Workers in Specific Labor Market Sectors in the State of Israel, 4,825 Indian workers have so far been placed in Israel. The state-wise list is attached as Annexure.
(b & c) No such case has come to the attention of the Ministry.
d) The Government is aware of cases of Indian nationals who have been misled by certain agents/individuals for joining the Russian armed forces. The Government has taken up this matter with the Russian side, including at the Leaders’ level, for the early discharge of such individuals. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi raised this during his recent visit to Russia on 8-9 July 2024.
