RUSSIAN PRESIDENT'S VISIT TO INDIA

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state :-
(a) whether it is true that Russian President Putin is scheduled to visit India later this year, if so, the details thereof; and
(b) the details of the agenda to be discussed and the bilateral agreements to be made with the Russian Government?

(a & b) President of the Russian Federation Mr. Vladimir Putin paid a State visit to India from 04 - 05 December 2025, for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
During the visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Putin discussed all aspects of bilateral relations, which are deep-rooted and multifaceted. They reaffirmed mutual commitment to further strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia. They also discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest.
An India-Russia Business Event involving participation of Russian and Indian companies was organized on the margins of the Annual Summit. The Business Event was addressed by both Prime Minister Modi and President Putin.
The Joint Statement issued by both sides, and list of outcomes of the visit, including MoUs and Agreements signed and announcements made, is enclosed at Annexure-I.
