The inaugural India-China Maritime Affairs Dialogue was held today in New Delhi. The Indian delegation was led by Shri.Amandeep Singh Gill, Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security Affairs), in the Ministry of External Affairs while the Chinese delegation was led by Mr. Kong Xuanyou, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. The dialogue covered issues of mutual interest, including, exchange of perspectives on maritime security, developments in international regimes such as UNCLOS and IMO and prospects for maritime cooperation. The next round will be held in Beijing on a mutually convenient date. New Delhi February 4, 2016
