Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs of Nepal, Shri Bimalendra Nidhi is visiting India from 13-17 March 2017 at the invitation of India Foundation to participate in the 3rd edition of the Counter Terrorism Conference (CTC) 2017.

During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Home Affairs of Nepal met with the External Affairs Minister, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, on 16 March 2017 and held discussion on bilateral matters of mutual interest, including high-level exchanges between
the two countries. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors and to deepen traditional bonds of friendship and kinship between our two peoples.
External Affairs Minister expressed condolences on the death of a Nepalese national on India-Nepal border. She conveyed that the inquiry into the incident will be expedited by the Indian side.
