INDIANS EVACUATED DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

2643. DR. C.M. RAMESH:

Will the Minister of External Affairs be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Indians, in the light of COVID-19 pandemic, evacuated from different countries of the world, country-wise, the details thereof; and

(b) whether any assessment has been done about the expenditure incurred by Government in this connection, the details thereof?

(a) As on 10 March 2021, around 50 lakh people have returned to India under the Vande Bharat Mission. A country-wise list is attached at Annexure APDF file that opens in new window. To know how to open PDF file refer Help section located at bottom of the site...

(b) Ministry of External Affairs has incurred an amount of Rupees 33.5 crore (as on 31 December 2020) to assist Indian nationals in distress to bring them to India under Vande Bharat Mission.
