MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state :-
(a) the details of the major development projects assisted by India in foreign countries during the period 2019 to 2024, country-wise; and
(b) the funds allocated/utilized for each of the project and the status of their completion?

(a & b) : Development Cooperation has been an important component of India’s engagement with partner countries. Government of India, as part of its engagement with Global South, has undertaken a number of development projects. Development assistance is primarily carried out through Lines of Credit (LoC), Concessional Finance Scheme (CFS), and Grant-in Aid projects. The projects undertaken, cover a wide range of sectors such as water, power, railways, roads, agriculture, education and healthcare. A large number of projects have already been completed/ implementation at various stages.
Details of major development projects under Lines of Credit, Concessional Finance Scheme(CFS), Grant-in-aid projects and Heritage conservation projects are placed at Annexure-I
, Annexure-II, Annexure-III and Annexure-IV respectively.
