India - Japan Consultations on Non-proliferation & Disarmament

  • The 5 th round of India-Japan Consultations on Non-proliferation & Disarmament were held in New Delhi on August 23, 2016. The Indian side was led by Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill, Joint Secretary (Disarmament & International Security Affairs), MEA while the Japanese side was led by Amb. Kazutoshi Aikawa, Director-General, Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Science Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Japan.
  • During the Consultations, the two sides exchanged views on a range of contemporary disarmament & non-proliferation related issues. The next round of Consultations would be held in Tokyo.
